Childcare Classes and Options
Kickstart’s director and lead teacher is Debra Archer. Deb enjoys being the mother of three children. She is a highly qualified early childhood teacher who has worked in the field for over 25 years. Deb holds Minnesota licensures to teach Early Childhood (Pre-K), Kindergarten, and Elementary school. In addition Deb is a licensed Parent Educator. Deb is recognized locally as a leader in early childhood education and she currently owns and operates Kickstart Preschool. Further, Deb has taught parent education classes in the Lake Superior School District's Early Childhood Family Education program for many years. Deb has also written columns in the local newspaper on parenting called “The Early Years” and started a local chapter of MOPS (Mothers of preschoolers). Deb believes that students learn best by doing. Experiential learning dominates her approach to early childhood education. At Kickstart Preschool she has designed a learning program that capitalizes on children’s natural curiosity and desire to explore.

Infant Care - 6 weeks to 16 months.
Low teacher to child ratio, trained and skilled teachers, new facilty, and state licensing guidelines allow for a safe and loving environment for your infant.
Toddler Class - 16 to 33 months
Exploration and fun are the cornerstones of our toddler program. Children need space to play and the opportunity to learn with and from each other. Our bright and cheery facility provides plenty of toddler specific space equipped to meet their needs.
Preschool - 33 months to 5 years old
Whether you choose 2 days a week or 5 days a week, morning or afternoon, your child will benefit from a high quality educational environment where play is the center of learning. Our 4 star program is ready to teach your child pre-math, pre-reading, and all the skills necessary for a successful K-12 start!

Meals and nutrition
Kickstart's new facility boasts a new commercial kitchen to provide home made nutritious meals for our children. Taking part in the federal food program ensures that all meals meet the highest standards for nutrition. Kickstart will serve breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks a day.
Outside Play Area
A large fenced and supervised playground allows for large motor development, exercise, and fresh air everyday!
Safety and Security
Your child's safety is our highest priority. We are a state licensed Rule 3 Childcare Center. State licensing involves inspections from the Department of Human Services, the State Fire Marshall, and the Health Department. Annual inspections ensure that we maintain high standards. In addition Kickstart has a secure entrance ensuring that only those allowed in our faciltiy enter our facility.
